by Christ alone, may we be found worthy of that golden crown.

this is my favorite song right now; i just play it over & over & over again.
so powerful. yet so peaceful.

"when i fly off this mortal earth,
and i'm measured up by depth and girth,
the Father says now what's he worth...??
may he see Jesus death and birth
don't measure me by dollar signs or bricks and mortar you may find...
by Christ alone, will i be found worthy of that golden crown.

the value of this life i've lived...
how did i love?? did i forgive??
where did my treasure truly lay??
how did i start and end each day...??
don't measure me by battles won or some good deed that i have done...
by Christ alone, will i be found worthy of that golden crown.

may be a pauper or a king,
have nothing or have everything...
the question begs, do you belong??
do you sing a resurrection song...??
measured by the Master's hand, on only one truth can we stand...
by Christ alone, will we be found worthy of that golden crown."

the sky angel cowboy.

this child's testimony touches my heart so hard...

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
- Matthew 18:3
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
- Mark 10:14

philippians 2:1-4

"if you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor: agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. don't push your way to the front; don't sweet-talk your way to the top. put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage. forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand."

-quote me.

the entirety of my life, i have collected quotes.
be it writing down inside jokes as a child and adolescent, literally keeping a "quote book" in high school, hoarding magazine & newspaper clippings, or accumulating book excerpts, song lyrics, movie lines, and inspiring thoughts...i love them. i remember them. i re-quote them.
it may have to do with my relational approach to living, as i feel it is the sole importance in life.
it may have to do with the subject of communication, of which i feel like is ever-present, never-ceasing.
it may have to do with my total obsession with words, in general, and the extensive vocabulary and beauty of the written/spoken language.

whatever the reason...quotes have the ability to impact me...to encourage me...to inspire me.
and i believe they are significantly important to share; the following is a chronological compilation of just a few of my notable favorites.
